how we work.

small, senior, slow.

eleven people. average ~9 years of experience. no levels below "senior." we interview for 3–8 weeks and we pay at the top of the range we think we can justify. we do not speed this up because a round closed.

write it down.

we work async by default. an idea that lives in a meeting and not in a doc does not exist. our engineering handbook is 62 pages and you will read it in your first week.

ship less, decide more.

we remove features about as often as we add them. every launch has a written hypothesis, a metric, and a date we'll look at the metric. most of them are wrong. we're fine with that.

quiet rooms.

we build for listening rooms, warehouse nights, supper clubs. we go to those rooms. our offices are quiet. our slack is quiet. our marketing is quiet. we don't post in all-caps.

what you get.

we won't list ping-pong. we will list the things that actually cost us money and the things we refuse to compromise on.

you and the hiring manager. your questions first. we come prepared; you don't have to.

week 1

a work sample.

paid. scoped to ~4 hours of your actual time. we send it, you send it back, we pay. we'll also accept prior work that fits.

week 2–3
04

team day + offer.

four conversations in one day (or spread, if you prefer). we decide within 48 hours. references last, not first.

week 3–4
