tickets & cart
How long does my cart last?
Until the event ends or the tickets sell out โ whichever comes first. Signed-in carts sync across devices. Guest carts live in this browser only; sign in to rescue them.
Seat holds are ten minutes. You'll see the timer on checkout.
Where do my tickets live after I buy?
Three places, and they stay in sync:
- The email receipt (safe, plain-text QR).
- Your account at tired.events/account/tickets.
- Apple Wallet / Google Wallet โ the email has one-tap buttons for both.
Lose all three? Sign in and click "resend" โ unlimited, free.
Can I buy tickets without an account?
Yes. Guest checkout works with Apple Pay / Google Pay. Tickets land by email. You can claim that order into an account later โ just sign up with the same email.
I abandoned my cart โ what now?
We hold it. You'll get a quiet email an hour later and another at 24 hours with optional savings (if the organizer has that toggled on). SMS only if you've opted in. If the event sells out before you come back, we release the seat.
Can I buy multiple tickets under different names?
Yes. At checkout, enter each attendee name. If an event is ID-checked at the door, each name must match a government ID. Organizers can require this per event.
refunds & transfers
Can I get a refund?
It depends on the event's policy โ organizers set this per-event. You'll see it clearly before checkout. Most are "refundable up to 48 hours before." See the full refund policy.
Can I transfer my ticket to a friend?
Yes, from your account. Tap the ticket โ transfer โ enter their email. They get a claim link; you're off the guest list and they're on it. Transfers are free and instant.
Something came up โ can I resell?
Only through the event's own waitlist. We don't do third-party resale โ it's the fastest way to ruin a room. If the event has a waitlist (most small rooms do), list your ticket there; the next buyer pays you face value, minus the $1 buyer fee.
The event got canceled. What happens?
You're automatically refunded in full, buyer fee included, to your original payment method. Takes 3โ5 business days. You also get a one-time credit toward a future event from the same organizer, at their discretion.
fees & brand math
How much do buyers pay in fees?
$1 flat + a percentage that depends on the organizer's plan tier:
- Starter-tier organizer โ 15%
- Pro-tier organizer โ 10%
- Scale-tier organizer โ 7.5%
- Enterprise-tier organizer โ 5%
Your receipt always shows the split. Membership at Tired+ drops the percentage to a flat 3%.
Why the $1 flat fee?
Because the real costs of running checkout โ fraud checks, chargebacks, Apple Pay / Google Pay / card rails, QR verification, SMS confirmations โ don't scale with ticket price. A $10 ticket costs us about the same to process as a $200 one. The $1 absorbs that; the percentage absorbs platform.
How does that compare to Posh?
Posh charges buyers roughly 10% + $0.99, flat, regardless of organizer tier. We charge the same low end (5โ7.5% + $1) for events on better plans, and we return 0% to organizers on Pro+. On a $40 ticket, you pay ~$4 less than on Posh if the organizer is on Pro or above.
tired+ membership
What is Tired+?
$5 a month. Drops your per-ticket percentage to a flat 3%. Early access to on-sales from organizers you follow (one hour head start). Waitlist priority. Monthly gallery drops. Cancel anytime.
Does Tired+ replace the $1 flat fee?
No โ the $1 per-ticket payment-processing fee stays. The percentage drops, which is where the math becomes real. At two tickets a month over $30, Tired+ pays for itself.
Can I gift Tired+?
Yes โ 3-month, 6-month, and yearly gift codes available at checkout. Delivered by email at the time you choose.
galleries
What are galleries?
Curated photo sets from past events. Organizers or their hired photographers upload them 1โ7 days after the night. Attendees who bought tickets get a quiet notification when a gallery drops. Browse anytime at tired.events/galleries.
I'm in a photo I don't want to be in.
Tap the photo โ report. It's hidden within an hour and reviewed within 24. Organizers get notified, can swap it, and your name is never shared with them. Repeated reports against an organizer trigger a review of their publishing privileges.
Can attendees upload photos too?
Only if the organizer enabled attendee submissions for that event. If they did, you'll see an "add to this gallery" button on the gallery page. Submissions go to the organizer's moderation queue before publishing.
cities & location
Which cities are live?
Twelve, at launch: NYC (including Brooklyn & Queens), LA, Miami, Chicago, Austin, Washington DC, Boston, San Francisco Bay Area, Atlanta, Nashville, Seattle, Denver. 75-mile radius around each.
I'm not in one of those cities.
You'll hit a waitlist page. Drop your email โ we'll write the moment we launch in a radius around you. In the meantime, you can browse the nearest city as a visitor, but you can't buy.
How does the city chip know where I am?
We guess from your IP address on first load โ that's city-accurate, not address-accurate. If you want precise (rare), tap the chip โ "find me precisely" and allow browser location. We store nothing; the result is a single cookie you can clear.
your account
How do I sign in?
Apple, Google, Facebook, passkey, SMS code, email magic link, or email + password. Any of them lands you in the same account. If you signed up one way and want to add another, go to Settings โ Sign-in methods.
I forgot my password.
Use recovery. You'll get an emailed magic link. We never send a password reset by email alone โ that's too easy to phish.
How do I delete my account?
Settings โ Danger zone โ Delete account. Irreversible. We purge your data within 30 days (GDPR + CCPA grace period). Tickets for future events you'd already bought stay valid on email.
safety & conduct
Someone's being a problem at an event. What do I do?
Tell the organizer โ they're there, and they take this seriously. After, in the event's page in your account: "report an incident." Goes to our safety team and the organizer, always. Anonymous if you want.
Is my data sold? Shared?
No. We don't sell, trade, rent, or barter your data. Organizers you've bought from see your name and email (they need those to let you in). Nothing else. Full privacy policy.
Accessibility questions?
Each event page lists its accessibility details. If they aren't listed, write the organizer directly from the page โ we pass it through. For platform-level accessibility (screen reader quirks, contrast issues), write us and we fix it.
